For 12 years the Blackberry bRamble has been the areas most popular recreational bike ride, with full century, metric century, 43 mile, and family friendly 15 mile ride options through the city of Eugene and the beautiful southern Willamette Valley. The ride offers rest stops with food, water, mechanics on site, and SAG wagon support on all routes. A special blackberry pie & ice cream treat at the end of the ride is also a big hit.

This years ride is part of a major weekend of events called Weekend on the Amazon that include:

  • Staycation Camping on Saturday night with music, games & breakfast
  • Adaptive Recreation Dinner Saturday
  • Blackberry bRamble rides (10-100 miles)
  • Live music and entertainment
  • Bike safety rodeo for kids
  • Demonstrations, competitions and workshops
  • Active Transportation Fashion Show
  • Food vendors
  • Beer Garden
  • Free safety checks from local bike shops

We are expecting about 2,000 people throughout the weekend for all of these great events. The event will take place on the weekend of August 6 and 7 at Amazon Park with coordination with the Greater Eugene Area Riders (GEARs), Safe Routes to School (SRTS), University of Oregon’s Bike Program, Girl Scouts, and the City of Eugene’s Recreation, Transportation, Parks & Open Space, and Adaptive Recreation departments.

Another great option: become a bRamble Rest Stop Sponsor

Crow Rest Stop   $400

All 500 riders stop at the rest stop in Crow for snacks, lunch, and a chance to rest.  The rest stop will be named after your company, with your name/logo prominently displayed at the site and on maps/cue sheets each rider receives.

Peace Health/Orchard Point Rest Stop   $250

*This stop is already sponsored by Peace Health*
Riders in the Century and Metric Century stop at Orchard Point.  They are tired at this point, and have looked forward to this rest stop for many miles!  The rest stop will be named after your company, with your name/logo prominently displayed at the site and on maps/cue sheets each rider receives.

King Estate/Lorane Rest Stop   $100

Lorane is where the 100-mile riders rest and fuel up for the tough climbs to come.  The rest stop will be named after your company, with your name/logo prominently displayed at the site and on maps/cue sheets each rider receives.

SAG Support   $200

The support vehicle travels the entire route of the ride, available to assist any rider who needs it.  While few people actually take advantage of it, every rider is glad to see the van pass by, knowing that help is available if they need it.  Your company’s name/logo will be displayed on the outside of the vehicle for all riders to see.
